The renovation of the entrance and the bar area makes one of the most beautiful Italian restaurants in Vienna’s city centre shine in new splendour. Central eye-catcher: The stone from the house of Breitwieser.

Giacobello explains his vision behind the project, which was implemented within a challenging timeframe: “The new Fabio‘s should better represent the idea of a Mediterranean bar – Milan flair in the middle of Vienna.“

And it has paid off: Fabios is not only a better version of itself, but also the contemporary version of the classic Italian bar you find in Milan. The stone variation made of Calacatta Brocatello marble frames the bar and forms the catwalk from the street. Marble is ideally suited to the diverse requirements of a bar floor, explains Kristina Breitwieser: "It should not only look good, but also last as long as possible. Stone is always the best choice for this." The Mediterranean composition is perfect in combination with the material, furniture and design. Architect Burghardt: "The material composition was important to me - stone and wood combine and completely envelop the restaurant."
