Scents OF STONE is a project of the architecture and design office Labvert under the direction of Stephan Vary in collaboration with the perfumer Wolfgang Lederhaas. The result is an elegant room fragrance diffuser in two versions, each with an exclusive fragrance creation. The special thing about the implementation of this collection was the fact that stone itself has no odour of its own. This is how the idea of a room fragrance diffuser was born, which not only celebrates the sculptural potential of marble, but also sets olfactory accents. SCENTS OF STONE was intended to offer a sensual experience of a special kind, and Wolfgang Lederhaas was won to compose two exclusive fragrance creations that harmonise perfectly with the object design.
Stone is unique by nature - making the marble unique was particularly important in this project. Because the minimalist design of the diffuser is all about this elegant material and also highlights the craftsmanship that goes into stone processing. The uniqueness of the stone is emphasised by the use of different grains and surfaces. Labvert has been working with renowned international perfume manufacturers for many years. The world of fragrances is actually always thought of in conjunction with glass, but stone is a rare material in this context, which invites us to test and implement new approaches.
